VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED FOR THE SB MOUNTAIN Bike Trail

Santa Barbara is fast becoming the most popular place for SoCal mountain biking. While it is easy to suggest that a lot of this could be attributed to the inclusion of three SB events in the California State Championship XC Series calendar, it would be wrong to say so. To understand why Santa Barbara is such a popular destination for mountain biking, all you need to do to ride it is to take a bike. Santa Barbara is a unique place. It is a unique place with its rolling mountains, lush foliage, oceanfront setting, and university flavor. Santa Barbara offers unforgettable rides.

We all have to support the local SB trail network and show concern. You can learn how to use the trail tools and spend time with people who are just as passionate about singletrack.

Every 4th Saturday, there is a maintenance volunteer get-together. This Saturday, May 27, is the last day of the 4th Saturday maintenance get-together. The next four Saturdays are September 26, August 26, September 23, October 23 and October 28. Water, long pants, shirt, gloves, gloves, helmet, and lunch are all required. A late lunch will be served.

2 weeks before the meeting, the trail, time, and location are announced. Go to www.sbmtv.org/calendar for more information. Or contact trail foreman Paul Herning at
